Beautiful, Oaxacan, black clay luminaria, with base. This piece is approximately 5 1/4 inches wide and 5 inches tall, including the base.
Oaxacan black clay pottery is known for its almost glass-like surface, its intricate carvings and fine details, and its rich black color. Each piece is cut by hand and baked in a fire of black smoke which produces its unique color. Each piece takes around 20 days to complete.
