Description

Gorgeous, striped black and blue longhorn beetle.  One of our favorites!  This particular beetle resembles porcelain in its smoothness and sheen.

This beetle has been mounted in a 3 X 4 inch glass dome.

Longhorn beetles are a large family of beetles with over 26,000 species described, slightly more than half from the Eastern Hemisphere. Most species are characterized by extremely long antennae, which are often as long as or longer than the beetle’s body.
