Description
Hanging emu toe, real bone. This emu toe is approximately 5 1/2 inches long by 1 inch at its widest point. When hanging, the toe is approximately 11 1/2 inches long.
The emu is the second tallest bird in the world, only being exceeded in height by the ostrich. Emus have three toes on each foot that are arranged in a tridactyl arrangement, which is an adaptation for running.
