Description
Fascinating, Trilobite beetle, spread and mounted in a black frame.
The frame is 6 inches by 6 inches.
The females and larvae have a flattened, dark body with large scales over the head, resembling trilobites, hence the informal names Trilobite beetle or Trilobite larva. In contrast, the males are many times smaller than the females, and resemble other beetles.
Species are found in tropical rainforests of India and South-east Asia.
