Description
A clam is a marine bivalve mollusk. The shell consists of two (usually equal) halves. Clams differ from other bivalves in that they burrow in sediment. (Scallops can swim while clams, oysters and mussels attach themselves to substrate.) Clam shells make great display pieces and are fun to collect.
This shell is approximately 8.5 inches long and 5 inches at its widest point.
