Description
Iguana skull, real bone, mounted on an acrylic stand. This specimen is approximately 3 1/2 inches long, 1 1/2 inches at its widest point and 2 1/2 inches tall. Including the stand, the iguana is approximately 5 1/2 inches tall.
Iguanas have keen vision and can see shapes, shadows, colors, and movement at long distances. Their visual acuity enables them to navigate through crowded forests to locate their food. Iguanas employ visual signals to communicate with other members of the same species.
