Description

Skunks are famous for their pungent spray, which is a defense mechanism.  They can shoot their sulfur-smelling spray up to 10 feet out of their anal glands. Aside from the offensive smell that lingers for days, the spray is intensely irritating and can cause temporary blindness in anyone unfortunate enough to get caught in the stream.

This particular specimen is approximately 3 1/2 inches long and approximately 1 7/8 inches tall.
