Superb rattlesnake tail/rattle specimen, mounted in a 7 inch tall glass dome.
The rattlesnake’s rattle is formed in hollow, interlocked segments made up of keratin, the same material that constitutes a human nail. The segments fit loosely inside one another at the end of the snake’s tail.
The rattlesnake tail and rattle are approximately 4 1/4 inches tall and 7/8 inch at its widest point. The dome is 7 inches tall and 4 inches wide.
